Default Moroso Oil Pans?

I happen to live pretty close to Moroso here in CT, and know a couple people that work there. Anyway, the other day I was talking to one of their R&D guys, and we were talking about maybe getting an oil pan made up for Saturns. I was wondering how many people would buy one if they were available? If you vote, please also post real quick answering the following questions:

Would you buy one?
Would you buy one if it involved a group buy-in?
How much would you be willing to spend (effects what style would be made)?

The pans would almost definately have a fitting for a turbo oil return line (with cap so you don't have to use it), and would definately be a higher capacity. They could possibly include a crank scraper (to reduce windage and make hp).

Moroso seems to be genuinely interested in doing more in the sport compact market, and depending on whether there would be enough demand for them, and how much people were willing to spend would have a big impact on maybe making other parts like valve covers and the like in the future.

Anyway, again, if you do vote, please take a moment to explain your views.

i would purchise a moroso oil pan provided it had both a windage tray and a crankshaft scraper. increased capacity would be nice but unnessisarry.

secondly i would not buy a pan from any company but moroso. they are a brand i have learned to trust from sereral cars i have had the privilage of working on.

lastly i would not buy the pan if it turned into an AEM-intake situation. IE: a normal AEM intakes cost around $175, but the saturn is $300+

most moroso oil pans fall in the $200 range. i would expect the saturn peice to land in the same range.

ive not seen aem for 300+ , i see it for 269 everywhere.

Second, I think I would invest in a moroso pan if: it fell around 200 or so, and had the windage tray and crankshaft scraper.

So both of you are thinking stamped steel then? I know that the TIG-welded aluminum race pans with scrapers for the Civics and Acuras usually run about $350 or so. The crank scraper is usually one of the parts that raises the price it seems.

The windage tray would be a definate feature.

I would buy one with the windage tray and crank scraper, the oil return fitting and increased capacity would be nice too since I want to do a turbo set up soon. I could go for $300 or so.

How do you suppose you can have a crank scraper with a girdle in the way?

Damn, only 6 votes. No wonder so few companies bother making new stuff for saturns.

naw it's cause everyoen *****'s about all tha products people make for tha saturn, I'd be Happy if they made an OilPan that could be used for turbo Apps, i'm planing on doing a swap soon, if tha pan is reasonably priced, i'd get one just so i'd have it for when i add tha turbo
