| Make sure you put some type of actual wax down like the #26 Yellow Wax or something though, the #7 show car glaze polish is NOT wax. It only feeds the paint, you still have to seal it with a wax. Personally I'm getting ready to try the Meguiar's medallion line on my new Ion though i'll keep the show car glaze in there because they don't have a new version of that for the Medallion series. I also have a nice variable speed DA polisher that I use with interchangeable foam pads. no it's not the $250 Meguiars one, it's the same one from the people that make the Meguiars branded one for half the price lol. |

| I just started using Meguiar's Flagship Marine wax and so far I'm very impressed with it. I also use the #7 polish before applying the wax.
Prior to this I was using the #26 Meguiar's and this marine wax goes on and of so much easier especially when you do all of the waxing by hand. |

| Hey guys! My mom had a bottle of Toyo Guard Sealant Cleaner in her house. Since I had some scratches in my door, I used the Toyo Guard. It was awesome! 75% of the scratches were gone, and the remaining scratches were much less visible. It had no bad effects on the blue color of my Ion 2.
The stuff was originally developed for the dealer package for Toyotas. My mom usaully has the pros take care of the car cleaning, so she let me have the cleaner. I think Toyo Guard Sealant Cleaner is only available at Toyota dealers.

| i went to walmart today and priced towels, in the car isle, they have a pack of 12 for $5. The bag says they are 100% cotton. Do you think these would be a good idea? How much did you pay for your towels. ?

| The clay's always a good idea if you can feel bumps on the surface of the paint after you washed it. 2 year old car, trust me, good idear.
I got my towels for a little more than that I think, but make sure that they're made in the USA. Afganistand and French and most of the foreign ones have polyester in the borders, which can scratch the paint.
The test for this is to take a flame to the border. If a ball forms, don't use it. If it burns, good to go.
Also, the polisher Forenight is talking about is the Porter Cable 7424 (pretty sure on the part number, I'll check in a week when i get home). Kick ass polisher to say the least, just keep them pads cleaned!

| This is what I buy at the local Discount Auto Parts:
Visions of California Dreaming car wash soap ($5/gallon): This stuff does a nice job washing the car, it gets it cleaner than most of the other soaps, and it leaves a nice shine.
Eagle One Nano Wax($10): This is BY FAR the best wax I have ever used. It is easy to apply and remove. I can get the car waxed perfectly in such a short period of time that I can make a last minute clean look like I took the car to a pro. It comes with a sponge and a microfiber polishing cloth. Also, on my dad's 1997 Lexus ES300, it did a hell of a good job minimizing the look of all the deep scratches on his trunk.
Stoner's Invisible Glass($4): This is BY FAR the best chemical to clean automotive glass. It really does make the glass seem invisible. It goes on evenly, and leaves no streaks.
In short, I can keep my car's exterior looking awesome. The car looks better than when it left Spring Hill, Tennesee.

Buy a pack. Go home, take one, and put a flame to the outside of it. If any balls form on it anywhere, it has polyester in it.
If it burns, you're golden
