Default Performance Muffler

Has anyone on here bought that "one size fits all" muffler for the s-series? I want to know if it's worth the $170 price tag, and whether or not I will have to cut my rear bumper cover to fit on an sl1

That muffler is not worth $170 at all, I got a Magnaflow street series muffler off of ebay (buy it now) for $103 from a respectful seller. You might have to cut the bumper if the muffler has a big tip.

You only need a credit card to sell, not buy.

bah, cut the resonator out, or you wont hear anything, i put of all things a 40 series flow master on my car <I dont recommend chambered mufflers on 4 cylinders btw> and you couldnt hear it till you cut out the resonator, besides im sure its some how restricting you... anyway, gL - Magnaflow has hella nice dynos on small blocks <350s etc.> better than flow.

well without a resonator on my car it was really loud and I was embarassed to get on the gas. The resonator quieted it down and took the raspiness out of my exhaust tone.

it will be RASPY and VERY loud w/o the res. keep it, it'll give you a nice low growl when u punch it, and a louder throaty growl on the gas thru the rpms..
