They actually don't look that blue on the road in person, from my experience, it's hard to capture the actual color with most cameras. I thought they would be too bright right away, so I aimed the lights down alot, and as you can see in those pics, I realized it was too much. After about a week of driving, aiming, driving, aiming, I think I finally have em where I want em. There is no bulb out there that can copy these. Roads signs glow like no other. I can drive during the middle of the day with them on and the signs still glow, but the light is so close to daylight that I can't see it anywhere else. Crazy stuff! I think every vehicle I ever own from now on, if it doesn't come with these, I'm gonna install em myself.
i think the distance also it depends on what color you get. im getting the 12000K diamond white HIDs...........which has a slight violet tint to them.

Yes, I know exactly what you mean, my buddy has em in his CRX. It just seems like the ones in that range don't have as much output as what mine do. The color is nice though, I wanted to go for more of stock look to avoid being harassed by the local authorities.

Isnt the higher the number the less light output you get and the more purple the light looks?

back to the Silverstars... I just got a pair for $44.99 at the local car parts store. I had the Luminics PureBlue bulbs in there, and they looked real sexy but never really helped with visibility. infact, made it worse. So expecting good things I put these in, and im very sad. It is daytime still, but even then, my headlights look like the stock yellow with them in. they had better perk up by nightfall or ill have to return them if i can.

Silverstars are the best way to go I have them in my Civic, very pure white and def. the closest to an HID looking light output, no blue, purple crap, just pure white light on the road.

One thing to keep in mind is even though the light directly in front of a car may be brighter or appear brighter with a blue or purple bulb, check out your visibility down the road, against signs and especially in rainy/inclement weather. I guarantee you won't be able to see sh*!.

Silverstars are the best bang for the buck and as far as projectors go, unless you are retrofitting a projector from a true HID car like and Audi, Acura, BMW, Infiniti then you are getting less light from a cheap imitation projector. I pulled mine out and put the stock headlamps back in until I do that retrofit.
