Ok I have done a search of the site and didnt come up with any leads, so I figured Id post it... Has anyone ever bought a fuel press. regulator, "modafied one" I am looking at the one thru Saturn motor Sports and wanted to know if anyone has already had one installed and if they like it or not. I am going to be putting on a ram air style intake on my car and want to boost my fuel a little. if anyone has any info, horror stories, or recomendations please fil me in. I hope i posted this in the right section, if not moderator please move, thanks

ok, scratch that... I found somthing better, so I'll share the info I've gathered from the net. Turns out that a 1992-1996 chevy corvett lt1 engine, have the same regulator... interesting, so you can find one at your local parts store, here it's gonna run me $99.99, and is exactly the same in looks and size, and even bolts up the same. A match made in heaven Id say. The one from Saturn Motor Sports is a good regulator but..... you will need to do some fabricating if you buy this, as for Saturn Preformance Systems, they say that it is a bolt on regulator, just flows more fuel.30kpa, to be exact. thanks any I will write a nother thread when I buy it and put it on so that I can let all know if it's worth the $$$

Often an engine will be set with a higher fuel pressure to prevent getting lean at WOT. However, if you can get your engine to combust fuel more effeciently, you can take a little pressure off, and get closer to the ideal AFR.

When getting more airflow from your engine, sometimes fuel pressure must be increased so that in open loop, fuel in matches air in.

you really dont need to upgrade the regulator with just an intake. if anything, get a safc. thats where you will get a gain
