changes the frequency of gasoline, thats a new one LMAO.

There is no chip made for a Saturn that will do anything to your car. All a chip can do is make your car think it is running at WOT all the time and thus dump fuel into your chamber and will not give you anymore power because the ECU controls the right amount of fuel depending on speed, gear, throttle position. So dumping fuel will do no good.

A car that a chip would work for is something like a Jetta/GTI 1.8T which will actually adjust the boost and such on the car to get like 20-40 more horses. Like my D17 there is no chip for the ECU that works. Although I should correct that E-manage is available for my car which works with turboing to get the most out of the engine.

NA Gasoline engines can benefit from reprogramming in some cases. Look at the Hypertech Power Programmers, and what they do for engines in pickup trucks from the Big 3.

That in mind, some NA engines are so highly tuned from the factory (Like BMW) that reprogramming isn't very effective.

Dude, I'll tell you what. They're selling those for $150.

You pay ME $150, I'll install a vibrator on your gastank, and change some frequencies, or whatever. You think you've got a better car, and I've got your $150. It's a win-win situation!

True it does work on some NA engines. But like my D17 series putting a chip in is redundant since the VTec and the way they built this series it is pretty nicely tuned already, bolt ons and stuff are the only way to get more power from the car.

now what about the jet chip that you actually have to mail your ECU to them in order to get it installed?

Heard those dont do anything either. If you want to change you a/f ratio and tune for some extra power the apexi s-afc II is a good tool to use. And costs around the same amount if not less than one of those jet chips cost. Plus your car doesnt have to be down for a day or two while waiting for the ecu to come back.

Well a programmer and a Jet chip does pretty much the same thing as an Apex Safc2 EXCEPT it has either one or a set of pre-programmed profiles that you have to get the chip re-burned to modify. I don't think Jet makes a chip for Saturns but I could be wrong. A programmer does essentially the same thing except it allows a little more 'customization' than a chip.

Since nobody makes a programmer or chip for the Saturn... Apex safc2 is probably the way to go. I've never used one so I don't know.
