Default Shift Knobs?

I know purdue recently bought a new one...

I've been thinking about upgrading. I like the clean look of the stock one, but if I would ever need to remove that knob again, it would be destroyed. I chopped down my shifter, and there's no way in hell it is ever coming off.

So, I almost picked up a true short shifter on TSN, but some ******* bought it out from under me. Let's say I had won it. I would need a new shift knob.

Problem is, I can't find any I like. They all look cheap, or bulky...

I absolutely LOVE this knob, but it's just not goin to work, for obvious reasons.

The GM licenced Saturn one looks alright, but I don't like the dent in the top of it.

Who's got some ideas for some weighty, aluminium but not shiny, good looking knobs?

I got a clearance ricey ball-style one with glowing LEDs. It was $5, spent largely to find out if I liked the ball-style. I do. Someday, I will... probably just paint it to not look so ricey. It's not badly built, and the overall style isn't too bad. *shrug*

Might figure out what style (shape) you like before you go much further, unless the look is more important than the feel.

Feel is most important...it can't feel cheap...

Like I said, i like the one in the auction I posted, and the last 3. I don't like the cutaway ones, or the ball ones too much.

get one of those HURST shifter's that you can grip with your whole hand. Kinda like the knob's that came out of the older muscle car's. I think they are $20 at autozone

Well I was wrong If you posted in February but it was still better to apologize than to be considered an ass (as stated above). You still getting one? so many people are starting to make these you just have to pick the right maker.. lol

Yeah, I found someone to do them for $30 shipped...and $30 shipped for a TB, plus maybe some mani/head work, so I'm gonna do that.
