Default Sound System

Hey I am about to purchase an Ion 3, but don't know which system option to get. Is it worth the extra 300 bucks for the better amp and extra speakers, or should I get a better system put in on my own?

Anyone with knowledge that could help me out would be greatly appreciated, especially if you have the Advanced Audio System and you either like\dislike it.

Going with the Ion 3 sedan....silver. Really like the look of the car, and couldn't believe how smooth the test drive was. Really excited, thanks for the help...what kind of system did you put in your Ion 2?

dont pay the extra money to get the upgraded factory system. factory systems are still factory systems, and they all suck compared to what's in the same price range aftermarket-wise.

it all depends on what type of system youre building. Pioneer cd players are great quality if you're not planning on expanding into utra high end components. Otherwise use JVC, Alpine, Panasonic, or Clarion for cd players. Speakers: anything but jensen and sony IMO. Go to some shops and listen, find out what you like. I've found kicker products to be some of the best around for the price.

Rockford Fosgate is another good one, exspecially for subwoofers, for amplifiers I have Kenwood and never had any problems except for what I done myself!
