| Swaybars and collar locks I'm looking into gettin a sps 17.5mm sway bar, but i need collar locks, as well i have pretty much made my Sl1 into an Sl2 minus Motor, and help would be great, main thing i'm looking for is tha Collar Locks

| isn't there sommat SPS sells so that you can adapt your sway bar to an SL1?

| yes they have an convertion kit to make an SL1 have a sway bar, but i changed out tha subframe, so i can put tha sway bar on without having to tac weld in tha converstion kit

| so if you swapped the frame to an SL2 frame, then it doesn't seem like you'd have a problem

| well i have urthane bushings all around, so tha sway bar slides freely, that's why i need tha collarlocks, buti swaped in a frame from an Sc2, works just tha same

| SPS used to sell collar locks for their bars. DO they not have collar locks for the 17.5? |

| yup. i have a set of 17.5mm collar clamps for my sway bar. problem is, they both cracked all the way thru and are now useless under there. save your receipt on this. if you look at the bend in the bar, tho, you will see that, unless the bushing mount point is torn off the car, the bar can't slide laterally very far anyway.
if i were to do this all over again, i'd find someone to tack weld the collar clamps in place once i put them on or just get a big washer with a 17.5mm opening and have that welded in place to prevent bar-float...

| anyone know how to install the sway bat, i have a 97 sc2 and am doin the 16mm sway, i was wondering if you do it with the car in the air or on the ground! I thought i heard someone say something about doin it on the ground so theres not pressure on the bar, but i have no F$^&ing clue, help if you know! thanks
