Default future products......maybe

Maybe its just me, but I've got a 4dr auto 93 SL1 SOHC, granted theres probably not alot of people into modding my type car, but for those of us who are and only have that platform to work on, I would like to see a killer lookin body kit. I know our cars are plastic and all, but the only body kit ive been able to find, just doesn't work for me. http://164.109.57.200/images/L0850911.jpg
Ill say this, it doesn't look that bad. Now that I look at it again, it does look pretty good, but "$655.93 Your Price" that just isn't worth so much money. I see all these kits for civics, preludes, supras, all the other sports cars, and they look awesome.....why do they have to leave us out....anyway, i just think it would be great to see something that kool made for our cars. And like Matt said, I'd also like to see some performance parts for a TBI SOHC.

Sorry bro.....nothin new yet. Waitin till the winter is over so I don't kill myself up at the junkyard again. Last time I went up, I ended up with severe frostbite and ended up with absolutely nothing.

I reasonably confident that I can do that. I just don't know how much it would cost. The problem with the Saturn emblems is that they are completely plastic, so everything is sort of molded together. So, to make them light up with EL would be somewhat time consuming. The brite finish plastic would have to be carefully separated from the red or black plastic and replaced with a tinted or clear acrylic so that the EL panel would be visible through it. Customizing a factory part is the only way I can think of to do it without stepping on Saturn's feet.

Developing a mold and creating a reproduction of the emblem out of real metal would be a great improvement and would make using an EL panel a heck of a lot easier, but then it's creation of an entirely new part that would infringe upon Saturn Corp. in some shape or form, especially if I were to mass produce them.

In closing, if anyone is really interested in this, let me know. If enough people are interested, I may be convinced to start work on some prototypes.
