Default door panel question

i own a 01 sc2 and want to make the door fabric red, but i don't know how to get it off, i don't want to start hacking at my doors and just screw them up, i can remove the panels but don't know the best way to get the stock cloth off and new stuff in?

If you remove the door panel, you'll see that the fabric part is held on by little plastic rivet things. Basically have to cut those off to get that part free, redo the fabric, then reattach it. The reattaching part is what I've not been totally clear on when people have done it - they talk about using small screws, but I'm not sure if they'd poke through. Might do a search & see what you can find from what others have done before.
