Default HIR Headlights!

Yeah, it's been awhile since I've posted here, I've been so busy lately with a lot of stuff (see my post in Off Topic). But in regards to HIR headlights, here is what I can offer.

HIR on the left, OEM in middle and Silverstar on the right
Notice the bulbous shape of the HIR and it has a cloudy look to it, that is the infrared coating. The shape helps to refract the light back to the filament.

HIR on the left driver's bulb (right side of pic) and OEM on the right passenger side bulb
Note how much brighter the HIR is, this is a dead on shot and both bulbs were aimed to match.

Again, shot of the HIR on the drivers side and OEM on the left
You can see the OEM is duller, this was taken from about 20 feet away. Also note how wide the beam on the left is compared to the OEM on the right.

Both HIR bulbs are in, notice how much wider the beam is again and brighter

HIR's from the side and head on with yellow fog overlays from Ycart
Like I said, not as whitish blue as a Silverstar but far brighter and wider.

More comparison to a stock 9006 bulb!

Since Saturns use the 9006 bulb as well, you can use these bulbs. They go for about the same as a set of Silverstars but last longer, are brighter, and make a world of difference!

DAMN, now I'm blinded by looking into them lights.

I had a set of blueish headlights and I thought they'd look like HIDs, one burnt out within a few motnhs so I just gotta set of OEM's from the local Auto Parts Store to amd replaced both of them.

What brand did you buy?

I put a set of Sylvania Silverstars on my ION in late 2003, and they still work.
