Modifying the car yourself or taking it to professionals?

Although I have done most of my modifications myself so far, how many of you prefer to have a professional do the job for you instead?

I may go to a professional if it's a big enough job to warrant taking the car there, but otherwise I try to do everything myself.

What do the rest of you do?

if you are good at doing stuff like that go and do it your self. if you are not Id leave it up to the pros.. thats my two cents

all my mods are done all on my own, i like it better because you can truly get a feel for your car and you can get it exactly like you want it, i got a 1997 saturn sc2 for 500 bucks for my first car, i gave it a valve job and modded the crap out of it, then i droped in a new engine, so now its my random little tuner car that out paces most vetts, i know i wouldent have been able to do that by sending it out and paying crazy ammounts in labor alone (yeah its still expencive and takes longer but its worth it)
