| new front clip? random thought! i found a chunk of ice on the freeway today and when it hit my bumper just about all the paint cracked right off. i dont think dark green and grey look to hot and i plan on going to the junk yard and pulling another green bumper but i had a thought. i have an SL2 would the front end of an sc fit on an SL? has anyone tried? i know you'd need basically the whole front hood, lights, bumper, fenders etc but would it bolt up (providing you had ALL of it) or would it need alot of modification?

| what year is your car? There have been 1 or 2 front end swaps, and I don't think they required the front clip - just the panels & some light modification, but the body lines didn't line up... |

| Ive actually thought about doing this to my sl2, making a part coupe and part sedan. the holes are pretty close, and all the mounting for the lights, and such are there, you would just need a doner car. The only reson I have yet to do it is 1. I| don;t have a doner car.
2. I only have the one car to take me to work, and home.
3. The front fenders would be a little tricky to get to fit snugly aginst the doors, you will have to do some moding to make it fit and look right. Now if you ahev a late model sl2. 1991-1994, you can change the front bumpers, with the newer 1995-1996 they are different, in front and back. that would switch it up a little |

| I have been thinking of a front end swap too because my wife got hit about a year ago and we have a duct tape fender and bumper job. There appear to be way more body kit options for the coupe front end. We have an 01' sl1, would love to go for a same gen sc1 or 2 swap, (and a twin cam engine would be nice too ) |

| Question? On front end swap. I have a 1992 saturn sc1 an it was hit in the drivers side rear qaurter an bumper.I pulled the body out an replaced bothe right an left quarters an bumper cover trunk lid an spoiler with a 1995 rear.everything bolted up with no problems.Well I am wanting to replace the front lower bumper cover,an I like the looks of the 1995 lower cover with the fog light holes better than my stock one,but it seems like everyone I call an talk too says it won't work?Is their any truth to this.Or will it swap? Thanks in advance.Eric

There may be some pieces underneath the bumper cover you'll need as well, though, I don't remember for sure. |
