Started my interior conversion

Well the interior of my car is all tan with ragged out tan cloth seats. Just this past weekend I picked up a set of black leather seats (front and rear) out of a 94' SC2. Must've been a garaged grandma car because they are in amazing condition.

Tell me what you think of this... swap out the factory tan dash for a black one, and paint [vht vynil dye] the door panels black. I already have a black center console on order... and have the carpet and back dash re-done, you guessed it.. black.

BUT... where the pillars divide, go light grey from there. Grey (or black.. hmm..) seat belts, grey upper pillars, grey headliner, and grey overhead console.

Any thoughts or ideas on what I should do different?

well, i have a 3rd gen that has black seats, carpet,dash, and lower side panels/door interiors. and the upper panels and headliner are tan. i have a good diggie camra if u want an idea how it will look.

over the summer ima planing to paint the upper panels black and recarpet the headliner black or some fabrick with black and red in it. it will be nice and dark when i get the windows tinted. may also recarpit the door inenards to match headliner. hvn;t decided.

ill clean her out in the nxt cupple hrs and snap a few.

will have then up this evning/early night 4shure.

its all stock right now exept for my Kenwood headunit. My plans are to paint the upper panels and some of the stock black ones in the center consel and doors jst to 2tone the paint. i know whatever paint i use won;t match the stock, slightly fadded, black perfect, so doing some of the others over will make it flow well.

yeah, geuss i didn;t do that well of a clean. meh, thats what you get when you clean and wash your car in under 20min.

if u want more/better pics of anything jst ask.

i do have a cupple pics of a 3rd g SL that has all black pillers, black headliner and tint. i think he did it himself because the reliece tab and the loop the belt goes trough are still tan.

I can put them up, but i'm not shure whoes car it is and i don;t want them getting upset over others hosting pics of their car. if the mods don;t mind i will, till somebody says someing.

Looks good man, I'm guessing your car had a black interior from the factory? Very nicely loaded SL1. My SL2 isn't near as loaded, about the only thing that makes it a '2' is the engine.

yeah, thats all stock. i think the only things it doesn't have are
-twin cam
-fog lamps
-wheels
-spoiler
-leather

thing was fully loaded otherwise

if i can ever find a deel on leather seats i would like to change the fronts. don;t care much for the back unless i get the seats from a coupe and made the car a 4-seater. thats kinda far down on the mod list, i like the seats that are in there now.
