Default 2001 SL 1.9l Error P0410 seconsary air induction system fault


Anyone have a sequence of items to check for this error ?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Welcome to the Board.

Check the fuse for the air pump. Listen to see if it comes on when the engine is started, colder start. Make sure that the vacuum lines is still on, both ends. Nothings on the system looks broken/damaged. Remove the pipe to the manifold and see if it is clogged with carbon. If so clean it. Most likely the exhaust manifold would need to be removed and the passages in there cleaned as well.

most of the time the p0410 code is due to the fact it wont hold vaccum...remove the small blk vaccum hose...put your vac. pump onto the silver nipple...pull a vac(with your hand pump)...it should hold vaccum...it not replace the 2nd air valve assembly...
