The slave cylinder does not touch anything. The convex plate that it pushes on is to far in. I can only shift if the car is off. I've been told this is a bent clutch disk. Is this true???????? It only has 23000 on the new clutch.
Chances that it is the pressure plate or the finger on it that are the problem. The release bearing which rests in the fork that the slave cylinder puhses on is what pushes onm the fingers in the pressure plate. The pressure plate is what provides the clamping to transmit power from the engine to the trans.
If the slave cylinder is ok then you are going to need to remove the trans to find out what is the cause.
