98 motor in a 95

hi I have just put a 98 motor in my 95 and now I have one hole in the head insted of two. for the temp gauge and the coolant sensor. and now i have a flat spot when I step on the gas some times it dies. I have the gauge hooked up right now and the temp sensor pluged in but just layin in the engine bay. do I have to drill another hole or what should I do? thanks Russ

Yes you need to install the other ECTS. In '96 + years the PCM uses just one sensor. Drill a hole in the same spot as in the '95 engine

Make sure your connectors are on correct also. The one sensor that is common betweeen the two heads gets the 2 wire connnector. The other sensor that you now must drill a hole for gets the 1 wire connector. This is IMPORTANT.

Also, regarding your flat spot, make sure your firing order is correct. 4-1-2-3 at the coil packs.
