flywheel bolts

Hello i was wondering if any of these good saturn techs can help me out..I got a new/used engine for my sons car 91 sc 1.9 dohc..found someone to put it in after 2 months and several calls the excuse now is the engine i got must have came from a manual and its going into an automatic the flywheel bolts they need are different then the ones originally in the car when taken to them? [:s] the original ones are to long and course thread they need a shorter bolt with fine threads..(had them at 1 time but somehow lost 1) and having a hard time getting another one ordered even from the dealer(the dealer ordered 1 but still hasnt arrived).Is there really 2 different size bolts and what can i kindly suggest to these guys to get his car back if so anyone know where i can find a flywheel bolt as described..our salvage yards wont pull them.so that idea is out.
any ideas will be GREATLY APPRECIATED

The bolts are different part numbers so I am sure that they are indeed different lengths.
Saturn or a wrecking yard (pick an pull, if you have, so you can go in and try to find a car that has the trans or engine pulled to find the bolts).

Failing that see if a tech in the Saturn shop has a spare botl in their junk drawer that they may be willing to part with for compensation.

A techs junk drawer is sacred and saves backsides more often than not so they may not be willing to part with one.

Undortunetly your going to have to wait till it comes into the dealer. I dont have any extra's either i can give you

My question is however, why the original bolts that were in the '91 engine cant go into the donor engine? Ive pulled off a Flex plate and put on a flywheel and vice versa with the same bolts. What year is the Donor engine? I am hoping that its a 91-92 otherwise your wasting your money as any other engine wont run :/ These are the only years that are compatible with out doing some modifications to the donor engine.

Hello thanks for the offer if you had a bolt to part with..the engine is also out of a 91sc
i made sure i stressed that when i ordered it because of the great advice from here.as far as why they cant use the old bolts i really dont know they said they are different why and how i really dont know(and starting to think they dont either) i have asked them that and all they say is "there different bolts.its just been 1 excuse after another for these guys

hmmmm......that makes me curious. Ive done a few engine swaps with the same bolts for the flywheel and flex plate as i stated before. However, 91-92 was different than all the other years of the s-series. So i suppose it possible. Good luck!
