I put a 4.5 in. dnx muffler on my 95 saturn sl2 and I've noticed that in the higher rpms the muffler loses the deep sound and turns into a bumble bee/ farting sound. The stock exhaust pipe is still on, I only put on a muffler. I've considered a cat-back system and/ or a header... Can someone give me some advice to help fix the poor muffler tone quality? (Other than cutting off the muffler I currently have on and going back to stock)
Check for leaks. If your using clamps, get it welded and then see how it sounds

I do have one clamp connecting the muffler to the pipe because my welder won't weld stainless steel and I have another above the axel only because I'm nervous to weld right next to the car's gas tank. I'll look into doing that though and see what I can do.
Thanks!
