2000 LW wagon lock problem???? First, let me start by saying I have checked all the passenger side interior fuses and have found none to be blown. I have a Saturn 2000 LW Wagon. Now here’s the problem. Some of it may be related and some may not, but I think somehow it is. About three weeks ago my cruise control quit working. The indicator lights showed it was turned on, but it did not work. As I don’t use it much and thought it was just a fuse, I didn’t bother and let it ride. A few days ago, my wife used my car and complained about not being able to adjust the seat. I checked and none of the power seat adjustments would work. Again, I thought it was just a fuse and would check it when I got a chance. Yesterday as I tried to open the back hatch, I found it to be locked. I tried to use my key remote to unlock it, but it would not work. I opened the driver door and tried to unlock it with the power lock button, but this also would not unlock the hatch. I finally had to open the hatch with the key. When I close the hatch it now would also automatically lock. I also now notice that when I try to lock the doors with the key remote, the lights flash and you can hear the relay click, but it does nothing to the door locks. When you press the lock again it activates the security and you can hear the relay but again it does nothing to the door locks. Pressing the unlock button the lights flash and it turns off the security, you can hear the relay click, but again it has no affect on the locks. The power lock buttons on the doors also have no affect on any of the doors, so the only way to lock and unlock the door is to manually push and pull the knobs. The only button that works as it should on the remote is the horn key. I also tried a few things that are also in the passenger side fuse bay, such as the back wiper and mirror controls, and they work as they should, so there seems to be power into that fuse block. Any help will be greatly appreciated, as I am at a loss as to what to look for. |
