Default 91-94 SOHC throttle cable tightening?

I remember seeing a long time ago about tightening the throttle cable on the 91-94 SOHCs somewhere, but I can't find it? Can whoever posted it please post again.

hehe
that would be me

Ok here is what you do.

Under the dash where the throttle cable comes through the gas pedal, there should be 3 things. Two white plastic washer and one black on.

Now get two zip ties, and place them between the two white washer and zipe them up. MAKE SURE YOUR ENGINE IS OFF! Then clip the excess of the tie away and your done. The cable holds tighter and responds better when you mash it, not extra inch or to to pull it.

The one thing to be careful of, some cars may need one zip tie, it depends on how loos your cable is. I put two on mine and its perfect. Make sure when you are pulling the cable you only do enough to take up the slack and no more, otherwise with the pedal all the way off, your engine will be revving higher than idle.

peace.,
