Default '95 SC2 valve cover gasket

how can you, or is it possible to, tell what kind of gasket you need without taking off the valve cover at all?

right now i know it's leaking since my plugs are doused in oil...but all i can see from the side is that it has a white rubbery texture along the edge of the valve cover(i thought RTV was black?)....so i'm not sure if i should get the composite valve cover gasket or the aluminum one....i'm assuming the composite...since Saturn quoted me one for $45.... o_O....the aluminum gasket is only $20....i'm not exactly sure if there's a difference between SOHC and DOHC gaskets....

i was hoping a gasket would be a crapload cheaper than that but...if i have to...should i rim the gasket with a thin bit of RTV too just for better closure?...it's got close to 100K on it right now...so it was bound to wear...new plugs and wires are on the way as well because these plugs look beaten after being in the leak : \...the SP closest to the coils had no oil on it though...kind of a small plus i guess....

actually...i may have found my answer on another forum....kickass....i knew it shouldn't be more than $20....

everything makes much more sense now hehehe...but i still hate when you ask a question and after looking for hours before, you find the answer like 2 seconds after asking....it's annoying...
