Default 95 SOHC to DOHC Swap Help!

Does anyone know why the connecters that go into the PCM on the SOHC have different groves compared to the connector slots on the DOHC PCM?
The reason why I am asking is because I am trying to swap a 96 DOHC motor into my 95 SL1 and when I go to plug the connectors into the PCM the groves dont line up. Can I do this computer swap without changing the wiring harness?

Thanks

You need to change both the computer and wiring harness

Sorry but that is not correct. The reason why I say that is: I cut the guides of my wiring harness and connected my harness to the 95 DOHC PCM and started the car without any problems or service engine light. so it can be done without changing the wiring harness.
