Default 97 sl1 Automatic Transmission Leak

I don't know what happend? Today i took my car to my friends, and when i backed out of his driveway i saw a HUGE puddle of transmission fluid. When the car is running, it gushes out like crazy, and when i stop the car it stops.

I didn't look underneath yet, but what do you guys think the problem is, or what do you think it could be? The car is a non-abused daily driver.

Thanks for the help!

"and when i stop the car it stops."

As in turn the engine off? Could be that one of the oil cooler lines has come off or gone bad. If you could give us a better idea of where the area that the fluid is coming from that would be great. I suspect though that if the fluid leak is only when the engine is running it sould be easy to track and most likely not that serious.

Glad that it was a cheap fix. Did the line pop out of the trans or was it holed?
