Default Acceleration Hesitation

Hey all, I've got a problem and need some suggestions. I've got an '01 SC2 automatic. Twice in the last month I've encountered a "hesitation" when trying to accelerate from a stop. Not even a hard acceleration, but just regular. After the first time, I ran some fuel system cleaner through. I've only run high octane fuel for the last five or six months. It has a new air filter. It did it once before right after I got the car a year ago, so it was before any mods were done like spark plug wires or anything. I'm thinking it might be a computer problem in the air/fuel ratio programming. Any ideas of what it could be or what I could check? Thanks!

isnt a 01 still under warranty? or are you hearing the 'we cant duplicate the problem " line from saturn? my first thought would be to do a throttle body cleaning and see if that affects it, this is very easy, take off the air intake tubes running from the air filter box to the throttle body, get a can of carb cleaner, shoot all inside the throttle body opening and closing it by hand with the mechanism that the throttle cable opens it with, all sorts of black **** will pour out, when you first fire it up you may even see a little cloud of black smoke for 20-30 seconds as what went into the intake instead of pouring out may hit the spark plugs and take a second to fire themselves clean, try that and see if theres any diffrence, espcially if you have ran regular fuel most of its life.
let me know, Joey

Another easy thing would be a new PCV valve, its cheap and might help. Use a GM brand.

Yeah, I called Saturn today and they basically gave me the same spill Joey said. It is still under warranty, but the problem is so intermittent that there would be no way they could duplicate it. They did mention checking the PCV valve. So, I'm going to check that and clean the throttle body and see what happens. Thanks for the suggestions.

I ahd that problem with my 2001 Sc2 manual. I had for about an hour and took my car home and left it there. When I got out of work and took up to the dealership they said they couldn't find anything wrong. It hasn't happened since and that was a while ago!
