Default aiming headlights??? need help

Hi folks
I need to re-adjust my headlights on my 92 SL2, I know about the 25 feet and measuring tape thing. The headlights were messed up when I purchased the car. I know the hex bits adjust the headlights up and down, I did that and now they are levelled, but the now the headlights are both pointed inward at one spot. I check my chilton manauls and it doesn't say how I adjust the headlights left/to right. it shows the plastic screws but I don't know which way to turn it with a screwdriver. please let me know, for the driver side headlight ,if turning the knob to the center of the car will make the headlights go inward to the center or vice versa, and likewise for the passenger side headlights. thanx

there are two adjustng screws for the headlamps. Up/down and side to side. Look around and you will find the side to side one.

I may be mistaken, but I believe on my 97 the L/R adjustment screw is vertical behind the headlight. you have to open the hood then look down behind the housing and it is sticking up. not sure how this coresponds to the earlier models but it should give you somewhere to start.
