Default another strut question

OK I finally admit it. My car is bouncing on all 4 corners. The question is, I was searching the autozone website to check prices and they had struts and mounts.

Can someone explain what I should be replacing?

This will be my first strut job. I am so excited. I have my health insurance card ready and 911 on speed dial.

Unless you are having problems with the upper strut mounts all you should need to replace is the struts themselves. Once the struts have been replaced then you'll need to get a four wheel alignment as well. Take a good bit of care with the front springs they pack a lot of push behind them. Make sure that you have a good spring compressor and that you use it properly. The rear ones don't have as much push behind them but they can do as much damage if not treated with caution. Read through a service manual and make sure that you under stand what you need to do and what precautions are needed to to prevent yourself from taking an ambulance ride.

Good luck with the experience.
