Default Auto Door Locks Broke

Pushing the Unlock or Lock button reacts the same, whether I'm using the button on the driver side or passenger side.

The Unlock Button unlocks the Drivers side only.
The Lock Button makes a click at the Relay, but no action on the locks.

Switching the Relays makes no difference. I got a couple extra relays from the junk yard, and all combinations of the relays react the same, so it must not be a relay issue....

If I remove the Relay furthest from the engine compartment (not sure if this is lock or unlock relay), then there is no difference while pushing the Unlock or Lock buttons (they act the same as described above with both relays in).

If I remove the Relay closest to the engine compartment and leave the other one in, the Unlock Button will Lock all 4 doors. There is no sound at all when pushing the Lock Button.

If I remove both relays, there is no sound at all.

Also, the key doesn't work on the doors. It won't turn. Do these cars generally come with a different key for the doors than for the ignition? I inherited this car, and don't know if there is another key for the car.

An aftermarket keyless entry was installed several years ago, but the battery in my remote is dead, so I'm not sure how it reacts.

Any advice on how to fix the door locks would be much appreciated.

Thanks!
