| AutoMeter shift light install ok, i bought a Autometer shift light that accepts the pills! it doesn't have the tach, its just the shiftlite itself! has anyone did this or something similar so i know how to wire this in??? im waiting on it so i figured i would ask to see if anyone knows..................thanks

| There should be a wire running from the coil packs that delivers a tach signal. Check in your shop manual for the wiring diagrams.

| that lil orange arrow don't work very well, i have a MP2 tranny  !!! it works in 1st gear at like 3000rpms or so and 2nd gear is like 6700rpms, so its kinda

| how can i figure out what wire? will my HAYNES have it? or can I use a tester and touch each wire on a certain settin to find out?

| damn, this suxs! i was doin the shiftlite so i could stay away from spendin over $100! if i would have known this i would have bought me a big 5" Tach with shiftlife, but the tach driver is $60 from MSD, and Autometer makes one too and its its $80.

| ok, has anyone else tired this kind of install??? i did some talkin and some guys say that the tach drivers don't work or do funky things like set the light off at 3,000Rpms even though it was set at 6,500

| Underneith the dash are a bunch of wires. One of which is white. there are a few of them so this might take some time. Eventually you will find the tach wire that you should be able to tap into.

| could u be alittle more specific.......and the instructions say to connect down by the coil-packs, im not callin ya a liar or anyting i just want to make sure it works and w/o having to spend a weekend lookin for a single white wire
