Default Blinker/Tail Light Switch

How would I make it (if possible) that the large part of the taillight blinks, and the thin part is the stop/tail light

this would be accomplished by doing some rewiring.

well if i understand right, cut the wires and swap them. but make sure you dont cross a positive to a negative. but it should be simple, that is if i undertsood you right. and it might be needed, so get some extra wire to extend it. but just swapping the wires, stop-turn and turn-stop, should do it for you.

unless something else comes into play, that should work.

turn signal:

black- ground
yellow-blinking

Tail Light--

one blue wire connects to to a bulb, then a wire comes out and connects to the same type of bulb next to it-

im on my way back outside

well if im looking at my manual right,

right tail light- switch the dark green wire with the light blue wire

left tail light- switch the yellow wire with the light blue wire

all the lights seemed to be wired to the same ground so i guess there is no need to mess with a ground wire. just swap those wires and see if it works, if not swap them back to normal and shrink tube them and wrap them with electric tape so the wont come undone.

ah i got to looking, i dont think it will work now. there is a 3rd wire for the stop lamps so you would probably have to get into the tail light as.sembly and rewire in order for everything to work. but i guess you could still try and swap wires but it seems now it wont work.

whats with not being able to write A S S E M B L Y??????????????? because it has ass in it??? ha it says butt

i got different results than what i wanted originally:

now the stop/tail lamp blinks and there is no need to have a turn signal,
so i covered the lower strip with black vinyl (except 4 the reverse light)

its cool cause when the tail lights r on and you turn on the blinker, the two larger taillight bulbs alternate flashing- when the tail lights r off, one bulb blinks

now i need help figuring why my 3rd brake light doesnt work (it hasnt worked 4 a while)

if anyone wants to know what wires I switched to eliminate the lower turn signal, i can tell you

originally it didn't work because the brakes are double filaments, where as the turns are single.

I got it so the turn signal is now the parking light, the outer brake light is now the turn signal, and the inner light is the brake light.

blue wire = brake light
brown wire = parking light
yellow wire = turn signal

the blue and borwn wires look like they are muliple wires, but there is only one of each that connects from one bulb to the next.

i redded out my turn signals, so it looks cool with the thin srip lit up when the lights r on.
