Default Canadian help needed

I wonder if someone could help me. I a have a 1996 Saturn i'm the second owner and do not have to origianl warranty that came with the car. I would like to know if there is a section in the warranty that refers to manufactued defects....I know that ford has this in some of their warranties. I'd appreciate it someone still has that warranty and could let me know.
Thanks
Andrea

For anything that there was a factory recall for safety reasons, they have to respect the recall regardless of warrenty status.

The warranty covers the car bumper to bumper for the period of the warranty, three years or 60,000 kilometers, subject to limitations outlined in the owners manual (that you don't have unfortunately). The exceptions are usually wear items and abuse. other than that it's covered. Once out of warranty the owner is responsible for all costs. Saturn has issued special policies in the past that cover the noted items for specified lengths of time or mileage. So to answer the question, keeping in mind that I don't have the owners manual and the warranty coverage book, yes manufactures defects would be covered for the WARRANTY period.

Manufacturers defects that lead to worn items (such as a bad weld in an exhaust manifold or a bolt that is prone to break) would be subject to warrenty, but if it is a safety-related recall (such as wheels that come off at highway speeds or a car that explodes on impact) then it would be covered on a recall basis, not as a warrenty repair, and thus should not require an active warrenty.
