Engine starts but stops immediately.

Check for:

1. Loose or faulty electrical connections at module, coil, or alternator.
2. Insufficient fuel reaching the fuel injection system
3. Vacuume leak at the gasket between the intake manifold and throttle body.

That came from the Haynes manual page 0-21

Will it start and then die immediatly again? How is it dieing? Like a switch being turned off or a chugging loping die?
If it will not restart immediatly is there spark? Have you checked the fuel pressure?

the fuel pump connector is on the drivers side and it is the one with the gray and purple and black wires right. i couldnt get the test light to go on so what does that mean. new pump that is what i have come to. also my car would start and then just die no stuttering no wierd noise. but now it just turns over and over. since the pump made a clunking noise when i first tried to start it and now it doesnt prime at all. so my conclusion fuel pump which will be a ***** i have never replaced one before. thanx
