Default car won't start

I had my car in today having the power steering rack looked at. The dealership is going to replace it, even though it's no longer under warranty(54000 miles). When I started the car at the shop I noticed that it hesitated alittle. Tonight I started it (it hesitated alittle) went down to the store and when I tried to start it again it wouldn't start. Tried jump starting it, nothing. Called a tow truck, then cancelled the tow truck until the morning. After about 2 hours I tried the car again, just for the heck of it, and it started. When I try to start it all of the warning lights go on, but instead of starting it would make clicking sounds. The car ran fine before I took it in today so I thought that maybe they didn't tighten something up. Any suggestions would be helpful. I'm going to try and start it and take it to shop tomorrow. Maybe they could fix it and replace the rack at the same time.

Hmmm the clicking noise you talking about almost makes me believe it might be the starter I would take it to Autozone make sure it's working......Let us know what the shop tells you...

Sounds like either a bad battery (have that tested first, AutoZone will do it for free), or a bad starter.

Not related to a steering rack replacement unless some tech shorted out the battery while working on your car.

Default car wont start

It turns out that the battery was bad. I had that replaced and the steering rack replaced. I feel like I'm driving a new car. Hopefully nothing else will go wrong.
