Default Changeing transmission yourself ... 5speed


Well looks like I blew the inside of my case from getting on it little too hard ..

just woundering how big of a project it is to change the tranny ? ..

what dose it take ..

I've change the tranny in a RWD car befor with out problems ..

Just kinda scured to mess with a fwd ...

Btw its a 93sc2 dohc 5spd

if you've done a tranny before, it shouldn't be too bad. Got a haynes/chilton manual?

Two ways of pulling it out all the way. Either out the top with the engine or from the bottom by partially or completely removing the engine frame. Out the bottom you will need to get the car in the air fairly high, at least the height of the trans. Your choice as to which way you go.

do it this way.. unbolt driver side carrage bolts. and losen the passanger don't take em out jack it up and yank the fecker out!
