Default CHECK ENGINE SOON LIGHT ON

While driving this morning I noticed the cruise control was on so I just pushed it to the off position. About 10 minutes later the check engine light goes on and doesnt go off. I parked car for 3 hours....came out started and 5 minutes into the drive the light went on and stayed on.
I know if I make too fast movements on the highway, this happens but then it goes out and stays out...anyone with any ideas? Just had a lube job last week. . As much as i love this car, if this keeps up I go back to a coupon book!

First thing that we need is the model and the year of the car.
With that info we can let you know how to go about getting the codes from the car. Either by yourself or from a place that has a scan tool.

Well that's comforting to know. Next time my light goes on I know I won't have to worry about it.

Well, I heard of Toyotas that had lower oil pressure than usual (Not enough for the red light) but less than usual. Toyota then flushed engines free of charge, and told people that you can't strech oil changes to 5000 miles, unless you drive all low-stress miles.
