Default clicky sound?

ok just to start off its not a clicking sound when i turn, i know that is a cv joint going but when my car is cold and for about 2 miles when im cruising around i can tap the gas let off and tap it agian and it sounds like the passenger side drive shaft has some rotational play, i looked but i couldnt see anything visibly wrong. could it be the upper cv joint that is going? or could i have a somewhat stripped out splines on the hub or axle? the sound wont appear after a few miles of driving. i wanna get it fixed cuz im afraid that the next time i hammer on it something is gonna break! if its nothing that i mentioned please lemme know, if we cant figure it out im gonna take it to the shop to have it looked at.

i was going down a dirt road this morning and i noticed it made the sound over the bumps, could it be a loose or blown shock making this sound?

Try checking the strut mount/bearing, and the upper engine mount. I've seen both cause a noise when getting on the gas.

You may want to check for a broken spring too...if i drive around in the morninings and it is cold...i heard clonks on the back left side....i just got the srings yesterday..i have yet to put them on...but thats what is causeing my thumping...but you could have a bronken spring in the front.

I got out of my car when it was on a levelk surface, and looked at it from all angles and checked to see if one side was lower than the rest...

Hope you figure it out.
