Default Clutch height?

I have asked this question many of times but no one seems to respond to it. My Saturn has around 140,000 on it and no sure if its the orginal clutch or not. It grabs about an inch off the floor. Or at least makes the car move when its past an inch. Seems like it completely grabs higher though. First engauges about an inch off the floor. What do you guys think? Is there a "normal" height that it should? Thanks again

That sounds at least close to normal - starts to grab early, grabs more & more as you let out on the clutch.

Awesome. The clutch grabs fine just wasn't sure if it was the orginal seeing that the car has 140,000 on it. Motor runs stronge and doesn't burn much oil. Needs a new bumper seeing I got into an accident and it has been stalling sometimes..Thinking either egr or 02 sensor.

The clutches can really last a long time if treated nicely. I think there's someone on this board who has over 200K on his, and still grabs fine.

my clutch in my car lasted 145,000 miles, and only needed replaced because it was oil soaked. looked new after i cleaned it, barely worn at all.

my dad had an original clutch in his 82 S10 for 220,000 miles and still was fine even after it was sold. and my brother has a 91 Cavalier with 170,000 miles and original clutch, but feels like its worn out.
