Default clutch...is this normal???

93 sl2 mp2 tranny..............
anytime while driving around the 2000rpm range, no matter what gear im shifting to, up or down, my rpms raise when i push in the clutch........

shift to 3rd at 2000 rpm, while i push in clutch, the rpms reach 2500............

i can come home, downshift to first to get in the driveway, pull up as close as i can to my roomates car, maybe going up to 1500rpm, push in the clutch and it raises to 2500, then about 15 seconds later, its dies down to idle

is this normal for a modded car, or is there a problem with my clutch? slave cylinder? tranny? im stumped.........if it is normal, how do i yet get rid of it, its annoying the crap outta me?

Why would you possibly think this has absolutely anything to do with the clutch at all?

Your IAC valve is possibly stuck open, or maybe your idle adjustment screw is screwy.
