Default clutch pedal problem and headlight short

my clutch pedal gets really sticky after driving for a while and especially in hot weather. the haynes manual says its either the pressure plate or the master cylinder but it does not go in detail. It feels like it would be a rubber bushing or something like that on the pedal but I have no idea, any suggestions?

also I have a short. I just rewired my radio (old connections were twisted and electric taped together) and put in new speakers, didnt change anything though. the pop up headlights stay up now and the gauge/instrument lights dont work. when i replace the fuse for the pop up headlight, and the lights are switched off, the light goes back down but when i turn the lights back on and the light pops up it stays up again. I checked all the fuses (by the passenger side and under the hood) and thats the only one that goes bad. again any suggestions on what might be the problem or what i should check?

thanks very much

You will have to find out what circuits are on the fuse that keeps going open on you. Then one by one isolate each circuit to see if the fuse keeps going. When it doesn't then you have the bad circuit and will have to try to find the cause of the short from there. If the problem was not there before you did the stereo work then recheck that as well.

The clutch pedal sorry....
Without being able to drive it or see it hard to even guess what.
