I get a code 26 1995 Sohc car overheats because the cars fan wont turn on. If I jump the relay the fan turns on. checked relay and its working. the temp guage is working, egr is fairly new what else could it be?

If the ects sensor is cracked, it can still make the needle move but not show the correct temp.

My bet would be the ECTS.

forgot to mention I replaced both temp sensors so i dought thats the problem...I've been replacing one thing at a time but now Im to the point where I don't know what it is and just wired a switch to the control the fan..
