Default Computer relearn procedures


I had my battery disconnected, while i replaced the alternator and now the car is idling rough. i have been looking around and it loooks like my car needs to go through a "relearn cycle" anyone ever hear of this?

It's in your own manual.

Bascially, just drive the car like you normally would.

You mean your car doesn't idle rough all the time? Hmmm

Trying pulling PCM fuse B to reset it again (leave it out for 15mins). It should be hard to start if you did it correctly. It takes a few days before its up to best performance. And I don't care what anyone else says, it does make a difference how you drive it in that period. Drive like a granny and it will run like a granny car. This is even more noticable on the auto, I drove mine hard and the shift points are different now and it downshifts more aggresively.

WOW, would we need to do this if you put a intake and bb tb on it?

I reset it after I make any mod (suggested by my friend that works for xx tuning). Its probably not nessesary and waiting the few days for it to get up to best is annoying, but it can't hurt. Even if you don't it will eventually relearn with whatever mods you made, it will just take longer.
