Default COOLANT LINE TO INTAKE MANIFOLD

so the spout on the intake manifold that goes to my coolant tank broke i thnk it was broke when i bought the engine but i didnt notice it cause it was covered. but anywho im trying to figure out how vital that coolant line to the intake manifold is and what it does...

Is it the one on top of the intake manifold that has a small diameter hose on it and runs to the top of the coolant overflow tank? If that's it, its VERY vital. Its a pressurized hose, and is the return line for the tank.

not unless you can find a way to block it off at the intake manifold and tap into the lower intake manifold hose that goes to the heater core.
