Default Cruise Control

Does anybody know how to equip a 1996 Saturn SL1 with factory cruise control? Any links, tips, or pictures would be greatly apprecciated.

Module is on the bottom of the steering column. Held on by three nuts. Unplug the connector and disconnect from the gas pedal. This gets you the module from the donour car. Install in reverse to your car. You will also need the switch from the steering wheel. Harder to get to as the air bag is in the way. Once you get to the switchs on the steering wheel you will see how to remove it and what you need to do to your car to get it in.

Once the cruise is in you have a 50-50 chance (?) of it working. if it does not you will need to get your PCM reprogrammed for cruise control.

Are the connectors already in the steering wheel for the cruise control switches? I am in the process of getting parts for ebay. Also, do you by any chance know how much it would cost to have the PCM reprogrammed?

For the 96 the connectors should all be there. At the steering wheel and at the bottom of the steering column for the module.
Sorry no idea what different places would charge for the reprogram. A guess would be about 1/2 hour but can't say that for sure.
