Default CTS confusion??

Is there a differnece between the napa cts (9.90) as verses the saturn dealer cts (18.00) or is it just a price thing??

Thanks
Phil

The Saturn one will be the newest (or should be) brass tipped sensor. The after market one will likely be a version of the plastic tipped one that likes cracking.

AutoZone, Advance, and Napa sell the brass-tipped sensor. I've never seen a plastic one before other than the original.

The one I got at napa had brass threads but the tip was some sort of hard poly like stuf maybe. Is the brass tip referring to the threads??
Thanks
Phil

The updated on from Saturn is brass from the hex (for the socket to install it) to the tip. The only plastic part is now the end where the connector goes on.

No real need to replace it until you feel that there is a problem related to it.
