Default Does the PCM control the Traction Control

When a new PCM is installed, does it have to be programmed to enable the Traction Control?

Yes, it controls everything. The PCM should be specific to work (you should have had to give a full VIN # to get a new one), and the new one should not need programming, it should just plug right in and work.

The ABS module will control the traction control. The PCM, from what I have found, needs to be programmed to recognize traction control.

Also please try to keep things to one thread. This could have gone to your first thread.

Thanks

Tom
