driveability troubles please help

my 1995 sl2 180,000 miles is giving me troubles first of all it gets very bad mileage high teens to low 20's. second it has alot of black smoke under heavy acceleration. the car idles good and starts and runs good.

i have changed the ects and connector, will be doing a tune up on it soon, and have cleaned the t/b and iac motor, what else am i looking at for the mileage problem.... o2 sensor maybe. it has never been changed as far as i know. i have only had the car since april.
any help is appreciated and thank you

yes with that age o2 sensor would definitely be something to change, but might not be the source. another thing is exhaust system. fuel system could be bad. there are many things cause bad mileage and black smoke. you just have to go through check everything, replace the cheap stuff, and figrue out if the harder more expensive stuff is the problem or if you want to replace them.

also if i was you, with that mileage and black smoke, i would change out the entire exhaust after the smoke went away but of course the cause could be the exhaust.
