Default Engine rebuild kit - where can I get one

Ive been to a few places trying to find a engine rebuild kit for a 94 saturn dohc. None the less Ive found myself short of any luck, saturn doesnt sell a all-in-one kit and to peice all the **** I need together would cost too much $$. This is for my sisters car so it doesnt need to be any high performance parts. she blew a headgasket and ran the car dead without even knowing it so I told her for christmas I would give her one of my motors fully rebuilt, so any help would be very much appreiated.

Complete rebuild kits are non-existant (sorry) BUT, if you shop around the parts can be had reasonably. I have done "in frame" rebuilds of both SOHC and DOHC Saturn engines for less than $1000 in parts and machine work with no huge effort in finding reasonably priced parts. My rebuilds include the following:

Remove and recondition cylinder head (valve job and seals)
New head gasket
New SATURN timing chain set (includes chain, sprockets, guides, tensioner AND oil pump kit!)
New ROD bearings (inspect main bearings) replace if needed
New piston rings ( clean and reuse old pistons)
Hone cylinder (have yet to see one that HAD to be bored!)
New intake and exhaust gaskets
New rear main and front cover seals

This can all be done WITHOUT removing the engine from the car in about 48 hours depending on how fast your machine shop turnaround is, and for LESS than $1000. My "oldest" rebuild is still going strong 3.5 years and 45k miles later (with zero oil consumption I might add)

thanks alot wolfman thats very helpful, Im sure I can get that stuff cheaper because my sisters father in law works for saturn. and for honing the cylinders did you use just a plain stone cylinder hone tool?

Good old bottle brush hone (looks like a bunch of stone "balls" on the end of wires) chucked into a 3/8 inch hand drill works just fine. Don't be at all surprized when you discover that the OEM crosshatch hone marks are still clearly visable on the cylinder walls.
