Default Fan Switch help

Hey everyone. I just bought a 93 SL2 for my wife for 700.00$ with a 125,000 miles. the only things that seem to be wrong with it are the following..driver door trim (Junk yard), no radio or rear speakers(I'll handle that) , valvecover gasket, then it's these next two I'm a little lost on at this point. First when we started the car it purred like a kitten until we rev'd it above 3500, then I heard a nasty grind coming from the top rear pully. After a while of looking around I noticed that on the back of the pully there was a groove all the way around it. Then I realized that the bolt to the left on the bottom behind the pully was just laying there. I pulled it out and saw that it was stripped. What does this bolt go to behind the pully??? anyone know the size and thread pitch?
Next is the fan sensor. Apparently, the first owner (carfax reports two owners before me) had noticed the fan wasn't working and I guess the codes said the sensor was malfunctioning. So he ran a hotwire to a switch where the ciggarette lighter was. When he took it to get it inspected he told the guy about the switch and of course dude said it won't pass. Where is it located and how do I change it.? Would this possibly be the thermostat? Or could it possibly be the little cylinder "thermo-switch" like I have on my escort LX. If either, how do I change this?

Best that I can get is that the bolt is for the powwer steering pump. There should be three bolts behind the pulley to hold the pump to the bracket. Perhap others to hold the bracket to the block. Brain farting at the moment and can't remember the 93 DOHC set up for sure. The holes in the pulley will all give access to the bolts and the holes where they should go. Get a good look see at things through the pulley holes to see if you have a hole misiing a bolt. Size and thread pitch? Metric, probably a 1.25 or 1.5 pitch. Best off to match up the bolt that you have. Even better is if you can get one from a Saturn in a wrecking yard.

Cooling fan

Do a search of the Board for ECT sensor, ECTS, coolant temp sensor, PCM temp sensor or combinations of. Short of the fan actually physically not working the sensor and connector are the most likely cause of the n not coming on.
