Default Finally got my car back :/

Yeah, some of you may remember my threads on everything that was leaking and my transmission, and all the mess I had with my 2000 SC1.

Here's what I did.

Got a 2001 transmission ($350)
Flywheel reground

New Parts:

Clutch
Throwout Bearing
Pressure plate
New seals all around

All parts and labor totalled about $1055. Ouch, cause my tires are still bald, and that was $1000 spent on burnouts, and not fun, new parts. Goodbye, engine swap.

The good news is, she rides brand new again. Learned my lesson the hard way The mechanic made sure to tell my dad about the flat spots on the rear tires (Too many 180's and the hot spots on the clutch, and the cracked transmission, and all the other fun stuff that comes with peeling out.

hey you got to pay to play.

but lucky you, i dropped a motor in a 96 contour and never got it to start yet i found everything working properly and full voltage to all. so ford garage got it and found an ignitor on the back of the flywheel was missing, dont know how that happens when the car it came out of was running. but all said and done it was $1600 and they left bolts off, removed some parts, didnt hook up speedometer, left off vacuum line to egr valve (caused cel light), replaced wrong cv halfshaft, didnt install thermostat, installed wrong coolant, replaced my new spark plugs, and i believe the list goes on. i fixed most of those problems in 3 hours when they had the car for 2 weeks. i spent a total of 15 hours removing an engine and installing a new one, replacing needed parts, and setting it up like factory, yet people who are suppose to know fords spent 2 weeks with loads of screw ups and they had more people to help while i was by myself.

Ouch...$1600 for a little mistake like that...I woulda been PISSED!

However, I took my car down to Walmart, and got 4 tires mounted and installed for $199 These will become my winter tires...the rims will have to wait another couple of months *sigh*

oh yeah i was pissed, i should have never let it go there nore should have gave them a list of things to check and do that i didnt since i had no time and needed it right away. yet they didnt do anything right so the day i get it back i had to travel around 650 miles(round trip) so for 3 hours that i needed to leave, i was working on getting it fixed because i wouldnt let them touch the car again because of their stupidity
